Section 3 Vegetables & Fruit Vegetables & Fruit


     Section Rules

     •  Vegetables & Fruit will be judged as per the RHS Horticultural Show Handbook.
     •  Roots of non-root vegetables must be gently washed clean and should be no more
       than 100mm (4”) long.
     •  All root vegetables should be cleaned gently, with tops trimmed to no more than
       75mm (3”).
     •  Exhibitors must provide their own plates, baskets, etc.
     •  Display the name of the variety of the exhibit; if the variety is unknown then the exhibit
       should be marked “unknown”.

      Class 301  Housewives Choice Competition Seasonal display of three distinct kinds of
               vegetables
      Class 302  Seasonal display of three distinct kinds of salad vegetables

      Class 303  Six different cut herbs in individual containers (space not to exceed 300 x 300mm).
               Herbs should be labelled
      Class 304  Beetroot, three
      Class 305  Carrots, three
      Class 306  Parsnips, three
      Class 307  Beans, Runner, six pods

      Class 308  Beans, French, six pods
      Class 309  Cabbage, one
      Class 310  Cucumber, two
      Class 311  Leeks, two
      Class 312  Onions, three, 250g and over

      Class 313  Onions, three, under 250g
      Class 314  Shallots, seven, not exceeding 30mm in diameter
      Class 315  Shallots, five, culinary
      Class 316  Potatoes, white, five, one variety
      Class 317  Potatoes, coloured, five, one variety

      Class 318  Tomatoes, five
