Dog owners are responsible for their pet’s safety and wellbeing while at the Worcester Show.
Please consider these top tips for staying safe in hot weather by the Dogs Trust
- Make sure your dog has access to shade and plenty of fresh water throughout the day.
- The ability to identify if your dog is overheating and knowing how to administer cooling first aid could be lifesaving. Read more on the Dogs Trust website.
- Keep your dog out of direct sunlight where you can. Use pet-safe sun cream on exposed parts of your dog’s skin, like the tips of their ears and nose. Ask your vet for more advice if needed.
- Check the weather in advance and bring your dogs to the Show at cooler times in the day – early morning or late afternoon.
