Worcester Show is committed to reducing the environmental impact of the event.

Free water refill stations and recycling facilities will be available across the showground, and we encourage visitors to walk, wheel, cycle or use public transport where possible.

Together, we can help make the Worcester Show a more sustainable event for everyone.

Recycling at Worcester Show

Worcester waste and recycling pop up

This year, the Worcester Show is placing a strong focus on recycling and helping visitors understand how to "Recycle Right".

Throughout the event, there will be a dedicated Eco Zone, where green recycling bins will be brought together and carefully monitored. Worcester City Council's Recycling Officer, alongside the refuse and recycling crew, will be on hand to sort through materials and speak with residents, offering practical advice on what can and cannot go in your green bin—and why it matters.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how to recycle right and improve your recycling habits at home.

Visitors will also have the chance to explore a bin lorry on site. This hands-on experience is especially exciting for children, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how recycling is collected and managed once it leaves your home.

To make learning about recycling engaging for all ages, there will be:

  • Interactive games and activities focused on recycling plastics in particular
  • Clear, easy-to-understand information about waste and sustainability
  • Tips on how to reduce waste and recycle correctly at home

Whether you're looking to brush up on your knowledge or introduce children to good recycling habits, there will be something for everyone.

Walk, wheel or cycle to Worcester Show

We are encouraging visitors to walk, wheel, or cycle to the event where possible. There’s a cycle parking area near the front entrance and a temporary Beryl bike bay located right by the main gate for easy drop-off and collection.

Be sure to visit the Active Travel stand, where you can chat with local groups including Bike Worcester and the Ramblers — and pick up tips and inspiration for getting around the city on foot or by bike.
