• Study the schedule to ensure your plants go in the correct classes.
  • Pay attention to the number of plants per entry and any pot size restrictions.
  • The judge will primarily be looking at the general condition and age of each plant.
  • Plants should be healthy and growing well. They should also be pest-free and presentable.
  • Remove all cobwebs, snail trails and other debris from both the plant and the pot.
  • Dead flowers and leaves should be removed if they come away easily.
  • Wipe the pot clean if necessary.
  • Take care transporting your plants to the show – potholes and speed bumps can cause a lot of damage.
  • Pack the plants well and drive carefully.
